Service Description

“Get Shreked” is a dynamic theatre camp led by a professional actor where participants dive into the beloved world of Shrek. In this interactive class, participants explore the timeless themes of friendship, self-acceptance, and courage through the beloved characters of Shrek, Donkey, Fiona, Puss in Boots, and more. Guided by Simon, participants will dive into storytelling, character analysis, and teamwork as they recreate scenes and discuss the deeper lessons behind the humor and adventure. This class is about learning how to embrace individuality, overcome challenges, and build connections with others. By engaging with Shrek’s story, participants develop skills in communication, collaboration, and creative expression, all within a supportive and joyful environment. Join us for an unforgettable adventure that shows how everyone, no matter their differences, has the power to make a big impact. About Simon: Simon Morrison is a writer, director, and actor who works in both film and theater. Professionally trained in theater at the British American Drama Academy and Shakespeare Academy at Stratford, Simon brings a passionate and creative approach along with his years of experience as a teacher, youth worker, and private acting coach. For Simon, helping students explore and discover the joys of theater and storytelling is a reward in itself. Simon lives in New York City. In his spare time, he loves to cook, hang out with his friends and watch sports. Start Date: Thursday, November 14th @ 7:30 PM End Date & Final Performance: Thursday, January 30th, 2025 @ 7:30PM (10 Weeks). All participants must be registered, and camp fees paid before the start of the first class.
