Sunshines, Families and Friends,
I wake up every day feeling hopeful and happy because I know I will see you again! Whether it be online or in-person, I feel very blessed that I get to spend beautiful moments with you! Our journey together was inspired by love. Love can help create many things, and as they say, love can make you feel stronger and inspired every day. It's true!
As you read this, I want you to know that you're special to me and that you're the reason I'm continuing on with this journey no matter what it takes and with all my heart and dedication. Each and every one of you takes a special place in my heart. Our worlds have been intertwined for a great purpose and many reasons. I'm grateful from day one that I can be a part of your beautiful world, and I won't change this for anything else.
February is always a special month. Many Sunshines celebrate birthdays in February, and that includes mine. February 22 was the date of my arrival on US soil in 1990, and it is the same day when one of our Sunshines was born. Thank you to Geoffrey, as I will never forget my anniversary date. I was 22 years old. What a journey it's been! And now here we are 35 years later. I am grateful for this journey and mostly for the opportunities and the support I've had over the years that brought me to help build a safe and vibrant place for our Sunshines to call their home.
My life story goes on! The most exciting part was meeting Jon. It was a dream come true, and it was beautiful. Sunshine Projects came to life because he willingly accepted the responsibility and challenges, and he instantly fell in love with you all. We shared the same passion and love to continue and nurture our brainchild even after the pandemic. The years will go by, and I know that Sunshine Projects will only flourish so that all Sunshines will continue to have a safe and nurturing place for many more years to come.
I hope you join me and feel inspired in spreading love this month and the next months ahead. Because with love in our hearts, beautiful things can happen. This month, I'm going to dedicate it to Jon. I miss him so much. His calmness, his peacefulness helped me stay focused. I still believe that he is guiding me from afar. I'm truly grateful to him for helping me build a special family, one that I never could have imagined.
Thanks to you for believing in me and for staying on with me on this journey. As you read this, hug yourself and tell yourself you're amazing and loved.
