Happy 5th year Sunshine Projects Online Program!

As I reflect on April 2020, I remember a time filled with uncertainty. Only weeks into our pilot program, Jon and I faced a critical decision about whether to continue Sunshine Projects. The onset of "quarantine" brought numerous unknowns, especially for a new program like ours, and we wondered what the future held.
After a couple of sleepless nights experimenting with various tools, we discovered the ZOOM platform. Jon’s creativity was crucial in quickly establishing a functional system, and that’s where the magic began. We experimented tirelessly, working day and night with the energy of excited new parents.
It was perseverance, hard work, and dedication that enabled us to fulfill our mission. The challenging times during the pandemic brought something positive into our lives: Sunshine Projects demonstrated resilience and became a lifeline for many.
Five years later, I am writing to you, without my co-author and co-parent. Jon lives in my heart, guiding me in every way. I have so much respect and gratitude for him because Sunshine Projects would not be here today if he hadn't encouraged me to be his partner. He was an extraordinary person who showed me how much two people with aligned purposes can accomplish in a short time. I'm sure he is looking down and smiling, happy that we are continuing forward.
Now that Sunshine Projects has grown beyond the Online Program to include the Skills Builder's Program, we are even busier and more engaged. We enjoy our daily interactions with you and are impressed with your confident growth, the friendships that have developed between you and your peers, and your relationships with your instructors. Thank you for continuing to participate in our online enrichment classes and theater workshops. Because of you, we are keeping Jon's legacy and the original Sunshine Projects alive. You helped us during our founding days and continue to join us every month. Thank you for appreciating our efforts and all that we do. You are our inspiration.
